Bernard H. Mendik was Chairman of the Real Estate Board of New York from 1992 to 2001 and was President of the Mendik Company, a leading Manhattan real estate company. A noted philanthropist, he was active in many civic organizations and endowed the NYLS Library and a professorship at the NYU Medical Center and supported many of its medical research centers. For many years, he served as chairman of the NYLS Board of Trustees.
