Description
Maurice Greenberg is the former Chairman and CEO of American International Group and is Chairman of The Starr Foundation, which provides financial support to many academic, medical, cultural, and public policy institutions. Mr. Greenberg has been a generous supporter of NYLS and is a Trustee Emeritus. He served in the Army in WWII, participating in the liberation of Dachau, and in the Korean War, rising to the rank of Captain. On June 6th, 2014, at the 70th Anniversary celebration of D-Day at the Statue of Liberty in New York, Mr. Greenberg was awarded the French Ordre National de la Légion d’Honneur for his service during World War II. He is also the recipient of The Bronze Star Medal from the United States.
