Description

Harry H. Bottome graduated from Yale University in 1893 and in 1895 received his LL.B cum laude from New York Law School’s night division while working at New York Life Insurance Company. He was employed there as the assistant general counsel until he was promoted to general counsel in 1903. In, June 1905, he resigned this position and entered private practice in New York City, specializing in life insurance law. In 1913 he re-entered the employ of the New York Life Insurance Company, as general counsel a position he worked until his retirement in 1941.

From 1896-1903 he was a member of the 7th Regiment New York National Guard.
